Benefit 'Ticket To Glossytown' review

Benefit's Ticket To Glossytown
I have to start with a sorry for the lack of posts, I've been a little busy with university and work/ staff training. From March the two companies I work for get more business which means I'll be working more so I'll be writing most posts on Mondays and scheduling them for the week(s) ahead. If you don't know what I do for work I work in the hospitality sector at festivals, football stadia (stadiums) as well as corporate and private events.
I am a massive fan of lip glosses and how cute are these? I fell in love with them as soon as I saw them. The packaging is beautiful and they are the perfect size to fit in the phone pocket inside my satchel for uni.

What is in the box?
6 x 3.0ml glosses in shades so frisk me (gilded berry) nudie-tude (goldspun twist) spiked punch (juicy coral) life on the A list (bubblegum pink) foxy lady (diamond rose) kiss you (clear fuchsia)

Before these I had never used Benefit lip glosses and if I'm honest didn't plan to. I was happy using cheap 'drug store' brands but I am so in love with 4/6 of these. I'm sure you can guess what shades didn't work for me. The last two, they don't suit my skin tone or my lip colour.

  • Lovely colour selection, something for everyone (4/6)
  • Bright and very shiny/glossy
  • Leaves lips feeling soft and not sticky
  • Slightly scented
  • Small enough to fit in bags but enough gloss
  • Lovely packaging, cute and compact.
  • Price - Current price means £2.17 per gloss!
  • Good brushes

  • Only lasts a few hours
  • Not all 6 colours are for everyone
  • Nudes are not a good coverage
  • Could be a little too glittery for day time
  • These are minis and online they look bigger
  • If you build up the colour it gets too thick

Product: 4 out of 5
Packaging: 4.5 out of 5
Quality: 5 out of 5
Overall: 4.5 out of 5
Would I buy it? Yes but I doubt I'll need any new glosses for a while
Price: £13 (was £19.50) *£2.17p.g / £3.25 p.g* direct from Benefit.

I know these are so 2011! Have you tried them yet? At £13 what a steal!

I got these as a Christmas gift.

  2. You are right about them looking bigger online, but they are a good price so I will look into them a bit more. Thanks for the review :) x
