Sorting out my life

It's time for me to sort out my life, I got accepted to TWO universities and it's now time for me to pick where I want to go and what I want and need out of life. You can read my other university posts by clicking here.

I first got the email on my way home from a stressful day at college (today), I called my mum and burst out crying because I got an unsuccessful on Birmingham's Ba hons course. I was truly heartbroken because I put all my eggs in one basket and I really wanted to go. I got home and mid cry my iphone pinged. I had a 2nd email about the FdA course, my heart sank, you know that feeling you get when you read something you wish you didn't but I was so lucky, I got a conditional! I later read on their website 'NVQ level 3 - Can only be considered together with other qualifications.' < Which explains why I didn't get accepted. My personal statement is strong, my work experience is strong and I am a pretty good student so my qualification is all that is letting me down, I really regret doing the resort rep class last year, I could have done my A-levels and got a wide choice of universities. I'll be honest I have no idea how I got in East London and not Birmingham with the BA Hons. East London has a higher entry requirement. I think it's because they met me.

Anyway, it's likely I'll be going Birmingham again for their open day but this time with my dad so he can check it out. I'm not sure what university to pick but my dad said I should pick the best one, if both are equal the nearest one because I have more support in London than I do in Birmingham. It got me thinking. What if I find it really hard in Birmingham? I don't have rent money or stuff like that. It's hard work being a full time student in an area you don't know. I really have to think about the pros and cons of both....

Wish me luck!
