Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips review

So I got this Dr.Lipp lip balm with my goodie bag and after reading up on it I was very excited to try it out.
Dr.Lipp’s original nipple balm for lips is a medically proven formula historically used by nursing mothers to soothe their sensitive nipples.
Apply liberally to your lips and you have a beautiful long lasting lip gloss and moisturiser all in one!

At £12 for only 15ml I was a little apprehensive and knew I shouldn't use this product unless I really needed it, my friends do call me tight so please don't judge hehe. Luckily you only need a pin sized amount for your whole lips and you could still have some left over.

  ← This is too much

Let's start with the name, not the best name of a lip balm, I mean if something is for your nipples why would you want it on your lips?

The first time I tried it I wasn't sold, it was far too thick and felt really sticky, I wanted to take it off pretty much instantly but stuck it out for a few hours. I tried it a few days later and pretty much felt the same but the more I use it the most I get use to it. I had a little left over and decided to put it on my eyebrows to keep them in shape and if anything it is perfect for them, the right consistency and did the job well.
Pros
  • 100% natural
  • Only a little is needed
  • Unscented
  • Perfect for EYEBROWS, keeping them in shape
  • Long lasting
  • Travel sized tube
  • Glossy finish, very shiny
  • It is 'tasteless' but whatever 'tasteless' tastes like it tastes nice (hope you understand what I mean)
  • Dr.Lipp is proven to reduce skin roughness by up to 40% in one hour!

Cons
  • You have to use your fingers rather than from the tube to your lips
  • Can be too thick
  • Too expensive for the size
  • Should be in other sizes as you can use it all over your body
Overall, I do like this product and I am using it daily while the weather is this cold but there isn't that much of a difference for me to warrant buying it once my sample runs out. Maybe in time this could change but I think I'll stick to my 99p  Vaseline and carmex for a while longer.

  3. I have to say I'm not keep on sticky gloopy lips either - especially with that price tag. The name did make me giggle. I guess it could work for dry nipples to, as seems to be a multi-purpose product. If I were to pay that money however, I would go for Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream - you can't beat it!
    Thanks for the review
