Wicked: The Musical

Yesterday Phyllis & I where fortunate enough to get two free tickets to 'Wicked: The musical" in London Victoria. We were at the 2:30pm Saturday matinee showing. We were in seats B30 and B31 in dress circle and our tickets cost £65 each (ex booking fees)

If you don't know what Wicked is it's a bit of a spin off from The Wizard of Oz (one of my favourite childhood films). It shows you a parallel universe to the story, the before, the film and then after. It shows us why the Wicked Witch of the West has her title and why her and Glinda the Good Witch of the North are not friends. I don't want to go into too much details because I could spoil it for someone.

Sorry for quality*

I've never really been a massive fan of musicals because I am always looking for fails, I love knowing how things work and even magic annoys me. I know that sounds silly but even watch everyday TV and movies I am always spotting continuity errors and I find myself doing the same during a musical but I have to say Wicked was honestly flawless! From their singing and not getting out off breath to the effects they had. (Rain, constant background changes and objects moving on their own)
The actors had such quick dress changes, some of which honestly felt under a minute, they wasn't little change of shoes there were full outfit changes sometimes including hair. Their singing was out of this world.

I'd honestly recommend it to anyone who loves The Wizard of Oz!
