How To: Nutella Hot Chocolate

I am a massive fan of Nutella, I could honestly eat a whole tub if I was allowed! I am also a massive fan of hot chocolate so why not mix my two loves?

How I made it:
I got my awesome Hello Kitty mug and filled it to the top is semi-skimmed milk, I poured the milk into a saucepan which was on a medium heat (3 on my cooker) I then used two tablespoons of Nutella as I wanted it very chocolately, I allowed the Nutella to melt a little before stirring and putting the heat up to 5. After stirring for two minutes it was time to pour it back into my mug and ready to drink.

If you don't want to do it on the saucepan you can do it in the microwave. First heating the milk then adding Nutella and heating it further. Timings would depend on your microwave. You can also make this with water if you want a less creamy drink. The water would just replace the milk and can be done with both methods but you would need to make sure you leave the water on the hob and bring to a boil.
As you can see it leaves a skin around the mug which is a bit of a nightmare when doing the washing up. I wouldn't leave it too long as it really stains.

Have you tried Nutella Hot Chocolate?

  8. tried it before. those served at cafes and i found it way too sweet! maybe the cafe really added in alot of nutella inside. and for the stains, you can leave the cups standing with water for a while before washing them. helps a lot.
