A few months ago I blogged about my bucket list, and if you saw it you'd of seen most of my bucket list was about travel. I love to travel, traveling is my life and it would be crazy to study international tourism management at university if I didn't enjoy it so much. Anyway, back on topic I spotted that travel specialists Transun had a blogger competition to win a trip to see the Northern Lights. I've always wanted to see the Northern Lights as well as visit Iceland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway so I was excited to have the opportunity to try and see the Northern Lights.
I've been extremely lucky and I am so thankful to my parents, I've been able to travel to Africa, America, the Caribbean and around Europe all before the age of 21. I know many don't have the opportunities I've had but having traveled to so many amazing, countries it only leaves a few on my wish list.
1. Scandinavian/Nordic countries - I really want to travel around Scandinavia. I can't pick one country so I'm being a little greedy. I guess I want to go to Sweden the most. I want to go to the original ICE hotel and bar, see Stockholm palace, visit the ABBA museum, see Oresund Bridge and of course see the Northern Lights! I'd also love to get the train from Sweden to Norway stopping in different places along the way and finally go to Oslo and visit the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet house as well as seeing Pulpit Rock and Geiranger Fjord. I'm not sure I'm fit enough but I'd also love to go glacier walking.
2. Thailand - The same as above. I don't just want to go to Thailand. I want to travel around Asia but Thailand is 100% first on the list. I want to party at the Full Moon Party then send my days relaxing, soaking up the culture and experiencing life. I want to visit the smaller islands in Thailand like Ko Samui, Ko Pha Ngan, Ko Phi Phi Don, Ko Tao and Ko Samet. I'd love to backpack and stay in hostels but I'm a little worried I'd miss my home comforts. I really want to go on the Skytrain, visit the Temple of Dawn, ride an elephant, see The Grand Palace and see some Thai boxing.
3. USA Road Trip - I've been to Florida 4 times and stopped over in New York but I'd love to see what the rest of America has to offer. I've said so many times that I'd love to do route 66 but I'd also like to do the route below, of course stopping at others state in between and doing parts of route 66 when I can. I'd also like to do the reverse starting in New York staying down the east coast then ending up in Washington or better yet, Canada.
Where would you love to travel?

Hi Charlene,
ReplyDeleteScandinavia/Nordic countries is a great choice as your number one destination on your bucket list! If you have a chance, you should definitely go. It's beautiful in the summer and magical in the winter over there :) But just out of interest, me being from Finland - a Nordic country that you did not mention on your list - why don't you find Finland as interesting as Sweden, Norway, Iceland and Denmark?
I'd like to go Finland but I've not read much about it other than Lapland. I think I'll go Finland once I have children. :) x
DeleteI would love to see the Northern Lights too, and I still need to go to Disneyland and cross that off my bucket list x
